Kia K4 UK Launch Date
The Kia K4 arrives in the United Kingdom in Q4 2025. Kia UK confirmed the hatchback body style for the British market, replacing the Ceed nameplate over time. Pre-registration interest has been open since September 2025, with first deliveries expected November–December 2025. The sedan variant will not be sold in the UK.

The 48V Mild Hybrid — Why It Matters
All UK K4 variants feature a 1.5 T-GDI engine with 48V Belt-Integrated Starter-Generator (BISG) mild hybrid technology. This system:
- Recovers braking energy and stores it in a small lithium-ion battery
- Assists the engine under acceleration, reducing petrol consumption by up to 12%
- Enables longer engine-off coasting at low speeds
- Does not plug in — no ULEZ/LEZ BEV classification, but improves urban fuel economy meaningfully
WLTP fuel economy is estimated at 47–50 mpg combined, which places it ahead of the non-hybrid Civic and Corolla in real-world urban driving.
