Kia K4 Canada Launch Dates
Canada received the K4 in two phases:
- Sedan: Autumn 2024 — K4 sedan went on sale across Canadian dealers as a 2025 model year, replacing the Forte
- Hatchback: January 2026 — K4 hatchback (5-door) arrives to replace the Forte5 hatchback
Kia Canada dealers opened K4 sedan bookings in August 2024 ahead of the first deliveries in September–October 2024.

Federal EV Rebate — Does K4 Qualify?
The K4 is a conventional ICE/mild-hybrid vehicle and does not qualify for the federal iZEV incentive (zero-emission vehicles only). However, some provincial rebates for fuel-efficient conventional cars (e.g., Quebec’s Roulez Vert for PHEVs) do not apply either. The K4 should be evaluated on its strong MSRP-to-feature ratio without rebate expectations.
K4 in Canada — Winter Readiness
Canadian buyers should note:
- Heated front seats standard on EX and above
- Heated steering wheel standard on GT-Line
- Remote start available as a dealer-added accessory on all trims
- CVT operates well in cold starts; DCT on GT-Line can feel slightly jerky in extreme cold (<-20°C) — allow a 2–3 minute warm-up
- Kia Canada recommends winter tire fitment; 16-inch steel winter wheel packages available from dealer accessories

All K4 sold in Canada carry:
- 5 years / 100,000 km — comprehensive warranty
- 5 years / unlimited km — roadside assistance
- 5 years / 100,000 km — powertrain
