Kia K4 USA Launch Date
The Kia K4 went on sale in the United States in August 2024 as a 2025 model year vehicle. Kia unveiled it at the 2024 New York International Auto Show and began dealer deliveries shortly after, officially replacing the Forte nameplate in North America. The GT-Line turbo trim arrived at dealers first, with LX and EX following a few weeks later.

What Each Trim Includes
LX — The Value Entry Point
The base LX comes well-equipped: 16-inch alloy wheels, 8-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, USB-A/C ports, automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, and rear cross-traffic alert. It skips wireless CarPlay — a notable omission at this price.
EX — The Sweet Spot
EX adds wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, a 10.25-inch touchscreen, heated front seats, blind-spot warning, rear parking sensors, and a sunroof. Most buyers will find the EX the best value in the K4 lineup.
GT-Line — Performance Feel
GT-Line switches to the 1.6-litre turbocharged engine producing 204 hp. You also get 18-inch wheels, sport-tuned suspension, red brake calipers, dual exhaust tips, LED ambient lighting, and a Harman Kardon audio system. The 7-speed DCT is smooth in normal driving but offers quick paddle-shift response.
Fuel Economy (EPA Estimated)
| Trim | City | Highway | Combined |
|---|---|---|---|
| LX / EX (1.6 NA) | 31 mpg | 41 mpg | 35 mpg |
| GT-Line (1.6 Turbo) | 27 mpg | 35 mpg | 30 mpg |
